University of Florida startup Prioria Robotics makes smart unmanned aerial vehicles for military, civil and commercial uses, a market expected to expand rapidly in the next few years. The Gainesville company was founded 10 years ago by UF grads, including Bryan da Frota, CEO, and Jason Grzywna, vice president of engineering. Its technology gives unmanned vehicles bendable wings and advanced sensors. This summer, Prioria completed a $5.5 million round of financing from three venture capital firms. The company also received nearly $3 million in state and local incentives to transform a city-owned warehouse into its headquarters and create 40 jobs over the next three years.
